FPL GW29 Captain

Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea blanks this week. Burnley have a double, so will our panel go all out for a Claret?

Three choices stand out – Salah, Kane and Saka.

Each has their merits and considerations, but my pick will be Harry Kane. The England forward is on fire at the moment, with 5 goals and 1 assist in his last 4 games. He plays an disjointed United then an out of sorts Brighton. He is the pick to go with if you are chasing teams in your mini leagues.

Mo Salah captain for me. Best player in FPL with a double game. Capable of scoring against any team, I’m not going to overthink it.

Mr Differential is back and although got stung in GW26, my armband is currently on Trent Alexander-Arnold. DGW and a threat at both ends of the pitch.

FPL GW01 Preview

With the TC intact, I am overthinking this week.
Two top contenders for the DGW C option are Salah and Kane.
Both have two difficult away games. Kane and Salah have scored 4 and 3 respectively in last 4 games. Both are in good form. Being an Arsenal supporter, this makes it tougher where Salah is facing Arsenal and Kane on the other hand is obviously Spurs.
To conclude, it is going to be a 50-50 coin toss amongst them. I am going to be switching between them till the deadline. No obvious right or wrong choices here.

This one is going to go right down to the wire. I have two big decisions to make.

First, do I play the Triple Captain chip? Second, do I put the armband on Salah or Kane?

Recent form favours Kane over Salah but consistency and reliability favours Liverpool over Spurs. I feel like this will be the key decision of the gameweek and I am quite far away from settling on the final answer.

At the moment the chip is active and the armband on Salah.

Mo Salah is the best Captaincy Choice this GW with him having a double against Brighton and Arsenal.

He would be hungry for some goal involvements with him blanking last GW and there is also room for triple captaining him this DGW. Salah has scored a total of 212 points this season till now and is owned by 63% managers. So I’m backing The Egyptian King for some fireworks this time…

The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

This has borne out repeatedly for those not backing Salah in crucial GWs. Just ask any manager that captained Havertz in GW 9 (too soon?).

In DGW 26, Salah rewarded all with those a mammoth 28 point haul that richly rewarded his triple captainers. Salah’s record versus Brighton is strong with 5 goals and 5 assists in 9 PL games. The record versus Arsenal is even better with 8 goals and 4 assists in 10 PL games. Mo Salah against both of these teams in a DGW with a massive EO makes for an easy captaincy recommendation.
