It’s hard to know what condition the Tottenham team will be in on Sunday – refreshed after no recent matches or still feeling the effectsof the Covid outbreak?
For once, Salah as captain doesn’t necessarily seem the most obvious choice… but captain he shall remain!
VC has to be a Man City player against Newcastle and I fancy Cancelo to cause The Magpies all sorts of problems.

No one looks more tempting this weekend more than Cancelo, who would look fresh after a rest. He’s got 5 assists and has kept 9 clean-sheets in 16 games and offers great attacking threat. He has got a xA/90 of 0.23 with 2.45 Sh/90. He is also a certain starter after serving his suspension over the midweek.
My vice-captain of the GW would be Mo Salah. He returned in 15th consecutive GW against Newcastle and is the highest scoring player this season with 15 goals and 10 assists in 17 games.

In a week of limited fixtures, my pick for captain will still be Salah, who takes on a Spurs side which may be losing some sharpness due to inactivity. His EO is again expected to be high, so Salah will be the capt pick to defend an OR.
Vice Captain goes to Foden, who enjoyed a great night against Leeds.

This is the time where vice captain picks are as important as captain picks. Salah will continue to be my captain as Liverpool are up against a Tottenham side that are still trying to get up to full speed with life under conte.
VC will be Watkins. After his impressive showing last week continuing Gerrard’s amazing run as Villa boss, it looks like he will keep his run going against a weak Burnley side who will be without their only spark, Cornet.

I am going to go for a defender for an 8th week in a row. After 6 weeks of TAA, I am swapping to Cancelo this week. Man City up against Newcastle and Cancelo was suspended last match so had his rest and like TAA, offers returns at both ends of the pitch.
My VC is going to go on Salah this week.

This weekend is all about having two decent captain picks, in case of cancellations. Salah is still my pick for captain. He plays a Spurs team who I expect to be off the pace due to Covid and no game time. Liverpool are in rhythm and Salah has 5 goals in 9 against them.
For VC – I’m going with Ollie Watkins. They face a Burnley side who have one of the worst away records this season. Only Newcastle have collected fewer points.

Mo Salah has scored 5 goals and 1 assist in 8 Premier League games against Spurs. With a record-tying 14 consecutive games (tied with Vardy) with a goal or assist in the Premier League, Salah will be chasing a place in the all-time history books and the sole record holder with an attacking return against Spurs. He has already scored a league-topping 15 goals and 9 assists in 17 games with a solitary blank all season. Form, fixture, and an all-time record on the line, Salah has my armband once again.
With all the fixture postponements, I would also recommend a strong Vice-Captain like Mount (v. Wolves), Bernardo Silva (v. Newcastle), and Watkins (v. Burnley).
