UCL Fantasy MD5 Limitless
Before you assemble your Limitless team, it is key to note that the below few teams have qualified and are in some likelihood to rest their key assets, given the upcoming fixture crunch.
- Liverpool (Group winner)
- Ajax (Group winner)
- Bayern Munich (need 1 point to win Group)
Remember that on the Limitless, budget do not matter – however you can only pick 3 players per team.
Neuer (BAY) – The Germans need that one point to secure the Group win and they play Dynamo Kiev away. The Ukrainians are really struggling and have yet to score in the Champions League so far. Bayern however, are missing a swathe of players due to COVID and did lose over the weekend.
On Wednesday, the top GK choice would be Handanovic (INT). Shakhtar have scored once so far and Inter do need the win to secure qualification.
Cancelo (MCI) – City do have a tough home tie against the visiting PSG and Cancelo, if he starts, will face off Neymar. However, it is hard to ignore the current top scoring defender of UCL Fantasy. He is on form, excelling in attacking and defending. He already has 2 goals and 6 assists in his 18 appearances.
Atletico Madrid are not their usual selves this UCL campaign, but will be in pole position if they get the result against AC Milan. Gimenez (ATL) is the cornerstone of the Atletico defence and can be backed for a clean sheet.
Rakits’kyy (ZEN) is currently just owned by 1% of the game and can be a differential on the Limitless. The Centerback is a regular fixture at Zenit, who faces Malmo this MD5. Malmo are without a goal and really struggling at this stage. Rakits’kyy provided two assists the last time the sides met.
De Vrij (€5.2 | INT) – Another good pick from the Inter side. De Vrij already has 22 balls recovered and 1 goal to add to his points tally. He has not scored fewer than 4pts per game so far.
Alaba (€5.6 | RMA) – Real faces FC Sheriff with revenge in mind. Alaba is a great pick from the Real defence, given his versatility and ability to go forward.
Casemiro (RMA) – Casemiro makes our limitless team. He has high hit ration on ball recoveries and can be backed for a clean sheet.
Sané (BAY) has got 8 goal involvements in 4 games and has scored the highest number of points in the entire game to date. Bayern is thin so Sane should be at no risk of being rotated.
Nkunku (RBL) has been enjoying a great UCL campaign, even if his side are now technically eliminated. He already has 5 goals in 4 games and they play Brugge for a possible place in the Europa League.
Fernandes (MNU) – OK, there is some apprehension in picking United players in their current upheaval but United face a Villarreal side which they cannot afford to lose. Fernandes has a slightly different role this term with the arrival of Ronaldo – he has 5 assists in the UCL to date.
Bellingham (DOR) – The English midfielder is another reliable point scorer. He has 1 goal and 2 assists to date, as well as points from 1 penalty earned, 14 balls recovered and 1 player of the match.
Benzema (RMA) – For a 33yo, Benzema’s returns have been impressive so far. The French has scored in his last 3 UCL games. Overall, he has 22 goal involvements (14 goals / 8 assists) across 16 appearances.
Jota (LIV) – Liverpool are expected to rest a few players and take their feet off the pedal but Jota is one player who is likely to start. He was the Player of the Match on MD4 and Liverpool will not want to be too shabby at home against FC Porto. Liverpool have never lost to Porto in 7 meetings in UCL.
Depay (BAR) – Depay is a risky pick. He has yet to open his accounts for Barca in the UCL, but, Barca are now under new management. They take on Benfica in this winners take all match and Depay is on penalties.
