I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day – I’m going to have to captain Salah… again.

Straightforward choice. 7 goals and 2 assists in 8 games against Southampton. Keep it simple. Keep it Salah.

Salah has a record of 7 goals and 2 assists in 8 premier league games against Southampton and he will be my Captain once again this week. With league-leading 11 goals and 7 assists already this season, there is no one that can match the attacking prowess of the Egyptian.

With massive effective ownership, you’d have to have a super high risk appetite to bet against Salah. I recommend keeping it simple and looking no further than Mo Salah this week.

Salah is the defensive captain choice of the week. He could potentially explode and the risk of not captaining him is high.

Elsewhere, if you fancy so differential picks, James stands out for Chelsea, who plays a very hapless Man United side.

How about Vardy? He does not have the form but Watford have yet to keep a clean sheet all season

Despite Southampton’s (rather unexpected) defensive prowess this season, I think Salah is by far the best option this gameweek and I’m looking forward to a weekend where this isn’t the case. Salah for me, no point overthiking it.

Last week I went for Kane. What a wrong choice it was.

Honestly no point going for a differential at this point. Its either Salah, Trent, Mane or Jota. And in situations like these, it’s better to just go for the safest pick which is Salah.

Unless you’re an adrenaline junkie, Salah really is the only option. His stats this season have improved, as they tend to do, but the creative side of his is also flourishing. 11 goals and 7 assists so far is enough for him to be perma captained.

I went for him last week and reaped the rewards and will be captaining him again this week at home to Southampton…Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The role of a full back has changed a lot since the days of Gary Neville, Lee Dixon etc and the possibility of returns at both ends of the pitch really is a big draw for me.

This will be 4 weeks out of 5 that I have captained a full back/wing back scoring 35 doubled up to 70 points the last 3 times that I have done it.

I’m backing Salah again this GW to do some more wonders. Although Southampton started the season really nicely in defense, they have been not that consistent. On the other hand, Mo Salah, has been consistent as hell this season with 11 goals and 7 assists in 12 games. His xG is 0.74 and xA is 0.35 with 4.13 Sh/90. So to sum it up, The Egyptian King 👑
