FPL GW11 Captain

Are we all keeping the faith on Salah or are there alternative picks from the Panel this week?

Form over fixtures. West Ham are a strong side, especially at home, but I’m still giving Salah the armband this week.

Time for a Vardy party!

Leicester are up against a Leeds defence that have been leaking goals this season.

With only 1 win at home those season they look prime opponents for Jamie Vardy to exploit their weakness on the counter attack. It took world class saves for Arsenal to keep Leicester at bay in the last game. Leicester will be better, and Rodgers will have them fired up and with Barnes and Lookman either side of Vardy – this could be a long afternoon for Leeds.

West Ham have conceded 65% of chances down their left flank (compared to 25% on the right).

Salah up against Aaron Cresswell makes for a tasty matchup. No reason to go against the best player in the World right now, on current form. Salah (c)

Mo Salah is the community perma-captain with some record-breaking ownership, points, and near 200% effective ownership (in the highest rank brackets).

The Egyptian’s history against the Hammers is very solid with 9 goals and 2 assists in 8 PL Games. The odds will be high for him to add to his tally.

It would be fool-hardy to look elsewhere despite great fixtures for assets from Leicester (v. Leeds), Chelsea (v. Burnley) and Brentford (v. Norwich).

My armband recommendation will remain squarely on Mo Salah.

I expect Salah to get back to his scoring ways this week in what may be a high scoring game away at West Ham. Fdr suggest 2.5 goals for Liverpool and zonal match ups are positive for Mo too.

If you have Salah in your team, it will be hard not to captain him, given that most other managers are going to.

If you do not have Salah in your team, how about Ronaldo? Up against City in the Derby, occasions which he thrives on the most.

I’m sticking with Salah this week. Although West Ham is a difficult fixture in terms of walking away with three points, they are not the best defensively having kept only 3 clean sheets in 10 games. On three of those occasions they conceded more than once, and to poor opposition. While I expect this to be an end to end game, it could well be one of which Salah can flourish.

FPL GW02 Review

I am going to go with my captain from 2 weeks ago Reece James. 2 double digit returns in last 2 weeks and rested in Champions League midweek. Potential returns at both ends of the field with 2 Cleans sheets and 3 goals in last 2 games and up against Burnley next. You know that I love a differential pick and hopefully this week it pays off.

Our columnist.

Its going to have to be Salah again. West Ham didn’t look their best against Genk, and have less time to rest. If you’re looking for a differential, Ben Chilwell is a solid call, but make sure your vice is strong as well
