FPL GW12 Stats and Preview

Not the easiest fixture, but he is in the form of his life so I’m backing Salah (12.7) to have an impact at Old Trafford this week.

No Lukaku so it’s Salah (12.7). Mr Consistent and fixtures not of any concern. Man United have only keep a single clean sheet all season and will attack as the home side. Liverpool will exploit the gaps on the counter attack and Salah will be involved.

Salah (12.7) has scored in every game this season bar Burnley.

Scored v Man City & Chelsea. Scored at Atletico midweek. And we’re worried about captaining him v a Man United side who *checks notes* have only kept 1 clean sheet all season – a lucky one at that v Wolves, where they conceded 1.8xG? Nope. Salah (c) for me.

Whilst Lukaku is injured, we will now have the two highest-scoring FPL players going head-to-head in a battle for the armband.

The most-transferred in player of the GW, Jamie Vardy (10.6), has scored 7 goals and an assist this season already. The Wily ol’ Fox scored 5 of those goals from a league-topping 14 shots in the box over last four games as well.

Mo  Salah (12.7) versus an out of form Manchester United will have a massive effective ownership and the safest pick for captaincy.

I recommend Salah for those looking to hold their rank and Vardy for those chasing rank.

With the form that Salah (12.7) is in, you have to back him for the captaincy, even with a tough away game at Manchester united.

Salah (12.7) once again and probably for the rest of the season. Don’t say that I didn’t warn you when you start to call me boring in a few weeks.

United have been leaking goals left, right and centre and if everyone else can score against them then so can Salah. The Egyptian King is going to run riot against mannequin Maguire.

It simply has to be Salah (12.7), in the form of his life, arguably the best player on the planet and up against a rattled Man Utd who concede chances a plenty just where Mo is going to operate on United’s left. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he hauls AGAIN.

With Lukaku injured, Salah (12.7) is the only choice for me. In the form of his life versus a Man United squad who have only kept 1 clean sheet all season.

I’m not saying there won’t be an upset as regards the result (it is Man United vs Liverpool after all) but I don’t think Man United are defensively good enough to keep Liverpool out and if Liverpool score, there’s a fair chance Salah is the one on the end of it.

The boring, simple lot will pick Jamie Vardy (10.6). I am simple. Vardy it is.
