UCL Fantasy MD2 Captain

With injuries and suspensions kicking in – who are the best captain picks for MD2?

UCL Fantasy MD2 Captain – Tuesday

Haaland is carrying an injury so best to wait till late for confirmation.

Benzema (RMA | 10.0)

It is an absolute David v Goliath match-up on MD2 as European giants Real take on FC Sheriff, the Moldovan champions on their UCL debut.

Benzema is enjoying a superb season for Real upfront, scoring 8 goals and assisting 7 times in 7 league games.

Real will be relishing to score goals here, especially after a good win at Inter on MD1.

Salah (LIV | 10.5)

FPL GW36 Stats

Salah’s return for Liverpool has been consistent, but not explosive. He has found a goal in 6 of his 7 games, providing 2 assists as well.

Liverpool travel to FC Porto, a venue which they have not lost in 3 previous UCL visits.

On penalties, Salah is a safe pick for MD1.

Haller (AJX | 8.5)

UCL Fantasy MD2 Differentials

Haller scored 4 times to everyone’s surprise last MD and will be again leading the line against Besiktas, a side laden with injury woes at the moment.

He is our top differential pick and worth backing as a captain for Tuesday.

UCL Fantasy MD2 Captain – Wednesday

Lewandowski (BAY | 11.5)

Euro Fantasy MD1 Captain

Lewandowski has only failed to score in one of his 8 games for Bayern this season. He scored twice on MD1 to put Barcelona to bed.

From a career perspective, he already has 370 goals and assists in 337 appearances for Bayern.

The German giants are up against Dynamo Kiev, considered minnows at this level.

Ronaldo (MNU | 11.0)

FPL GW04 Stats

Ronaldo blanked for the first time in his (second) Manchester United career over the weekend but one can argue that he was denied the opportunity to make it right from the spot.

United plays Villarreal, a side renowned to be well-organised and tight at the back.

This is a replay of the 2021 Europa League Final and United needs a result to turn their campaign around.

Azmoun (ZEN | 8.0)

May seem to be an obscure pick for a captain but Zenit plays FF Malmo, a team that is likely to be overawed at this stage.

The Iranian forward is a seasoned goal scorer for Zenit, scoring 58 goals and assisting 20 times in his 93 appearances – an average closing in on 1 goal involvement per game.

He would be well-involved for the Russian side.
