FC Porto UCL Fantasy 2021/22 Preview
Porto is a tough group this season, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan, all these with strong European pedigree.
They have earned their first pts of the campaign with a goalless draw on MD1.
We spoke to a fan.
I am from Porto and have supported Porto since my childhood.
Porto’s Chances this season
Porto has probably the toughest group in the Champions League, so I wouldn’t invest too much in them on fantasy (if at all).
Hopefully we make it out of the group stage!
Porto UCL Fantasy – Top Fantasy picks
In terms of fantasy options, there aren’t too many. From the attack there my pick would be Toni Martinez (FWD | 7.5), as he is our top scorer at the moment, though probably not as nailed as Taremi (FWD | 7.5).
From midfield my picks would be Jesús Corona (MID | 7.5) or Otávio (MID | 7.0).
I’d stay away from the defense, especially since our right back is considered a forward in the game, but my pick would be Pepe (DEF | 5.0), he is nailed and will get lots of ball recoveries.
Diogo Costa (GK | 4.5) is also a cheap goalkeeper if you want a way into the defense.
Differentials from Porto
With any Porto pick having less than 1% ownership, any pick is a surprise pick.
Porto work hard every year to be in the Champions League, and we generally have a good run.
When teams play in our home field they never have it easy. Hopefully this year we will be able to get out of the group stage and have a good Champions League season.
Also, no one really knows who is our left back at the moment, as there are 3 players competing for that spot. So from defence the best options are only Pepe or Diogo Costa
10 Champions League Champ in a row
Yes, it is an achievement, it is always our goal and it is good to see that we have been able to reach it. We always work hard for it, so it is definitely not a given
