FPL GW01 Team Reveal
Fantasy Premier League is finally here and kicking off in less than a day’s time.
To cap off our coverage, FPL Hunt presents his team reveal.
I’m going with a safe template team with a few differentials here and there.
Robert Sanchez (4.5 | BHA) is currently the 3rd highest owned GK in the game and he will be our starting GK.
The 2nd most owned GK, Ben Foster (4.0 | WAT) is also in our team.
He has made a claim on himself starting the games for Watford on his YouTube channel, The Cycling GK. If true, it will be ensure that both of your keepers playing so that if one of them gets injured, you won’t need to make a transfer.
I won’t be risking at all going without the 53% owned Luke Shaw (5.5 | MUN). He had a brilliant Euro2020 and established himself firmly with the national team . He is a must own for every manager and that’s the reason behind him being the highest owned player in the whole FPL.
We’re also having Trent-Alexander Arnold (7.5 | LIV) who was on fire in the last half of the PL last season. Liverpool has got a great run of fixtures to begin with and that is also a reason of him being picked by more than 32% managers.
The flexibility with both Shaw and Trent is that if they don’t perform, we can easily replace them without any worries for the budget.
We have got three 4.5M defenders up next in the form of Ben White (ARS) , Joel Veltman (BHA) and Luke Ayling (LEE). All three of them scored around 100 points last season and can be used as rotating defenders. After the transfer of Ben White to Arsenal, he is expected to outperform his last season stats.
The most important position in FPL is the midfield.
You will surely know it’s unwise to captain anyone else than Salah (12.5 | LIV) in the opening GW. He has been scoring the opening goal for Liverpool for 4 consecutive years now and he has got a great fixture against the newly-promoted unit Norwich this year again. At the time of writing this article, he is currently owned by 50.8% managers and it is expected to increase as the deadline comes nearer. Our FF Titans Panel had selected Salah unanimously to be the Captain pick for GW01.
We have got our second premium in the form of Bruno Fernandes (12.0 | MUN) who is also heavily owned by 49.3% managers. He’s up against Leeds, a team United beat 6-2 last season.
We’ve got another Man Utd player – Mason Greenwood (7.5) who had a brilliant last season. He also had some great pre-season games which has surely attracted attention.
After the “template” players, we have got two differential midfielders in the form of Ismaila Sarr (6.0 | WAT) and Josh Brownhill (4.5 | BUR).
Sarr had a great debut PL season is 2019/20 where he racked up-to 5 goals and 7 assists. He also had a brilliant Championship season in 2020/21 where he scored 13 and assisted 4 goals. He is the main man for Watford and should be on penalties as well.
We’ve Josh Brownhill in our team too. He was a bit unlucky last season where he couldn’t got any goals but that will surely not matter here. What matters the most is that we’ve got a 4.5M midfielder who will be starting the games for his teams.
We have got 3 mid-priced forwards in our team.
Kelechi Iheanacho (7.5 | LEI) was in red-hot form during the last 8 GWs of 2020/21 season. He is expected to play as the main forward for Leicester with Jamie Vardy providing creativity to the unit.
Antonio (WHU | 7.5) – The West Ham forward had his second consecutive season with 10+ goals as he had 15 goal involvements last season. He can be a great asset for the managers with his finishing and creative abilities
We have got Callum Wilson (7.5 | NEW) to complete our team. His numbers were quite sensational last season where he had 18 goal involvements. Newcastle has also got some good fixtures to begin with and Wilson will surely be benefited from that.
Hope you enjoyed it. Wishing you a smashing game-week and season ahead. Till then, keep visiting FF Titans. Also don’t forget to join our mini-league which is listed below.
