Togga Perfect XI | PXI – GW30

As the calls for #WengerOut grow louder, GW29 saw MCI pulled off a win at home against the toothless CHE and MUN scrape past CRY to hold off the chasing pack in 2nd place. MCI are just waiting to be crowned premier league champions hence all that left to chase for are the coveted remaining Champions League spots.

All eyes will be on the MUN/LIV matchup for GW30 but that offers little in fantasy prospects. ARS and CHE both have winnable home games but their form of late will leave even the most ardent supporter wavering. MCI and TOT both have easy away games and should continue their 3 game winning streaks.

  • Manchester United vs Liverpool
  • Everton vs Brighton and Hove Albion
  • Huddersfield Town vs Swansea City
  • Newcastle United vs Southampton
  • West Bromwich Albion vs Leicester City
  • West Ham United vs Burnley
  • Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
  • Arsenal vs Watford
  • Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur
  • Stoke City vs Manchester City

Stay Away From

  • Manchester United vs Liverpool

MUN has won the last 6 out of 8 games in the Premier League and LIV have only lost a single game since October. Both sides are fighting for a Champions League spot and I suspect would settle for a draw.

Take Note

  • Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
  • Arsenal vs Watford

A quick Google search tells me that the last time ARS lost 4 games in a row in all competitions was October 2001. CHE form isn’t looking too good at the moment as well, having lost 4 out of the last 5 Premier League games. Home games against CRY and WAT would be the perfect chance for both teams to stop the rot and turn the tide. I would probably pick up a couple of players from the teams…cautiously.

  • Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur
  • Stoke City vs Manchester City

MCI is of course the runaway leaders and in a rich vein of form, and STK should pose little threat. TOT, having just crashed out of the Champions League round of 16, can now focus on the Premier League.

GK

  1. Lukasz Fabianski (SWA) – A consistent pick with an away game against HUD, this should see plenty of saves for Fabianski with a chance for a clean sheet.
  2. Thibaut Courtois (CHE) – CRY have only scored 9 away from home, the 3rd lowest in the league. Many would favour this matchup but I still have my doubts about CHE’s leaky defence.

 DEF

  1. Marcos Alonso (CHE) – Not at his fantasy best at the current moment, but is definitely not one to be overlooked.
  2. Nicolas Otamendi/Kyle Walker (MCI) – Both have done well of late and 1 should definitely be in your squad. Right now I’m leaning towards Walker.
  3. Harry Maguire (LEI) – The lad is nothing if not consistent. A relatively safe pick
  4. Ben Davies (TOT) – The top fantasy defender for TOT, he should keep with his performance with an away game at BOU.
  5. James Tarkowski (BRN) – Having returned to the starting lineup in the win over Everton since January, he should be able to start scoring fantasy points again baring any fitness issue.

MID

  1. Kevin De Bruyne (MCI) – We’ve said this before, there is simply no way to leave him out of your squad.
  2. Eden Hazard/William (CHE) – William managed to put some fantasy points on the board even with the loss at MCI. Hazard, as always, is Hazard.
  3. Christian Eriksen (TOT) – Some might to tempted to go with Son, but consistency is the theme to this week’s fantasy players selection.
  4. Riyad Mahrez (LEI) – A sure starter, let’s hope his scoring form continues.
  5. Mesut Ozil (ARS) – The only player worth considering in the ARS midfield.

FWD

  1. Mohamed Salah (LIV) – The man that cannot be stopped, I’m pretty sure everyone will still be holding on to him for fear of missing out.
  2. Harry Kane (TOT) – Even without any goals against HUD, the fantasy points return for Kane is still in the double digits. A must have.
  3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ARS) – An alternative pick for in case for whatever reason you should decide to drop Salah.
