Togga Perfect XI | PXI – GW29

An interesting weekend is coming up in the Premier League. Besides looking out for suspensions and injuries, do watch out for the weather as blizzards are expected to hit the UK this weekend. Be flexible and if there are games which you cannot monitor, do not select players from them. We will make our Perfect XI picks this week by analysing each of the ten fixtures.

  • Burnley V Everton (Saturday, 1230hrs UK time)

Everton are inconsistent at the moment while Burnley have not won a game since mid-December. Nonethless, Nick Pope (GK) is our pick of the week as we expect him to rake up the saves in this predicted bore draw. Ben Mee (DF) also gets our nod.

  • Southampton VS Stoke (Saturday, 1500hrs UK time)
  • Swansea VS West Ham (Saturday, 1500hrs UK time)
  • Watford VS WBA (Saturday, 1500hrs UK time)

Three ties with alot to play for in terms of the relegation battle but we will skip.

  • Leicester VS Bournemouth (Saturday, 1500hrs UK time)

Riyad Mahrez (MF) is back in favour and back on form. We predict a comfortable home win here with Mahrez chipping in with a goal. Harry Maguire (DF) is also our selection and the Cherries may struggle to score here.

  • Spurs VS Huddersfield (Saturday, 1500hrs UK time)

Our favourite fixture for the weekend. Huddersfield have won their last two games and may take their foot off the pedal here and focus on other matches to stay safe. Harry Kane (FW) was rested over the mid-week and will be raring to go. Christian Eriksen (MF) is another selection whilst we also favour Ben Davies (DF)

  • Liverpool VS Newcastle (Saturday, 1730hrs UK time)

Rafa Benitez returns to Merseyside as the opposing manager but his Newcastle side is the underdog here. They will, however, aim to frustrate the Reds as they have tried to do so against the bigger clubs. However, we will bet on Mohammed Salah (FW) to continue his scoring spree (already a goal in his six previous consecutive games. Newcastle won’t be too adventurous so Virgil Van Djik (DF) also gets our nod.

  • Brighton VS Arsenal (Sunday, 1330hrs UK time)

Arsenal has been shocking away from the Emirates, having won just 3 games in their previous 14 away games. Brighton on the other hand are a solid side at home, winning 21 points from 14 games. We would be too surprised if the Seagulls take something away from this game so we are picking Pascal Gross (MF).

  • Manchester City VS Chelsea (Sunday, 1600hrs UK time)

Fresh from a trophy win, City will be keen to get one over the defending champions. Our pick from this game is Kevin de Bruyne (MF) who loves the big games.

  • Crystal Palace VS Manchester United (Monday, 2000hrs UK time)

United are clear favourites to take three points here but they do not have a consistent performer. Also, this is the final fixture of the weekend so we aren’t risking to pick players here in case of a postponement.
