We are back to covering League SX as part of our regular fantasy football picks. League SX is of course a platform where you can get to play not just fantasy Premier League, but also three other top European Leagues (Serie A, Bundesliga and La Liga). Given that we have already extensively covered FPL / Togga stuff on this site, we will focus on picking players from the three other leagues.
Serie A Round 30
Games to note:
- Roma VS Empoli
- Inter VS Sampdoria
- Pescara VS AC Milan
With Juventus visiting Napoli, we turn other attention to other Champions League chasing teams. AS Roma is one of the form teams of the league, while Empoli has lost 5 in a row. Roma is the second top goal scorers in the league as well, so we favour attackers from this team. Edin Dzeko ($9.0m) is a must have and Belgian Radja Nainggolan ($7.5m) is another strong contender this week. Wojciech Szczesny ($8.2m) is a bit pricey for his caliber but should be a safe bet at GK. Federico Fazio ($5.8m) is a cheap option in the Roma defence.
Inter is also on form and can be fancied against Sampdoria, who will not have too much left to play for. Danilo D Ambrosio ($6.1m) is good value at this price. Antonio Candreva ($8.5m) and Ivan Perisic ($8.1m) are very reliable midfielders to have as well. With 22 goals to his tally already, Mauro Icardi ($9.9m) is a good choice, if you want to splash cash for a forward.
AC Milan have 4 wins in their last 5 and they play a Pescara side who is surely going down. Gianluigi Donnarumma ($7.4m) is likely to have a clean sheet. Gabriel Paletta ($7.0m) is a good pick in defence as well. Suso, Giacomo Bonaventura and Ignazio Abate are all OUT so Juraj Kucka ($5.1m) is a cheap starter. Everton loanee Gerard Deulofeu ($6.0m) has been a regular starter.
Elsewhere, Fiorentina’s Ciprian Tatarusanu ($7.2m) is a good GK to have. Andrea Belotti ($8.0m) of Torino cannot stop scoring and is surely on the radar of all major European clubs.
Bundesliga Round 26
It is a DOUBLE GAMEWEEK in Germany, so we fancy the below few teams, in this order:
- Bayern Munich
- TSG Hoffenhiem
- Werder Bremen
- Borussia Dortmund
Do not ignore Robert Lewandowski($12.8m) – the Polish goal machine cannot stop scoring and already has 41 to his tally so far. Javi Martinez ($6.4m) is the cheap go-to defender in Munich. I also fancy Philipp Lahm ($7.3m) this week, given that he does not have international football to worry about. Arjen Robben ($7.3m) is also a viable option.
In GK position, go for TSG’s Oliver Baumann ($7.6m), even though their second game is against Bayern. Ex-Leicester striker Andrej Kramaric ($6.4m) is another good option. Sandro Wagner ($8.0m) is his partner in crime and always worth a pick
Werder Bremen is in mid-table but is in sensational form, despite an incredible long injury list. Zlatko Junuzovic ($6.8m) should start, as well as Fin Bartels ($7.0m), who has returned to training. Defender Robert Bauer ($5.4m) is incredible value.
Dortmund plays a derby against Schalke04 on the weekend before a winnable mid-week tie against the hapless Hamburg. Ousmane Dembele ($7.7m) is always a threat and defender Lukasz Piszczek ($7.3m) has been raking up the fantasy points. I will avoid Pierre Emerick Aubameyang ($11.5m) because he is too expensive to fit. Portuguese Raphael Guerreiro ($6.5m) also has incredible value at that price.
La Liga Round 29
Double gameweek here in Spain as well. Real Madrid have two very easy games, while Barcelona, Alaves and Atletico Madrid are the teams on form.
It will be hard to ignore Cristiano Ronaldo ($14.1m) but do not break your squad to fit him. There is a chance he may be given some break after his international exertion. Alvaro Morata ($8.0m) is a viable alternative upfront for Real. Nacho ($6.1m) has been featuring regularly lately as well. Sergio Ramos ($8.3m) is a good pick too.
From Barcelona, Marc Andre ter Stegen ($7.4m) while Samuel Umtiti ($7.2m) is showing great form as well. Rafinha ($6.7m) is also good value. MSN is way too expensive for our liking here.
Alaves’ Fernando Pacheco ($7.1m) is a good pick between the sticks. Midfielder Marcos Llorente ($4.7m) already has 142 fantasy points this season for his value. Defender Theo Hernandez ($6.4m) is another good Alaves player to have. Striker Deyverson ($6.9m) is on fire of late as well.
From Altetico, there will be a series of good picks and we fancy Koke ($9.1m), Stefan Savic ($9.1m) and Saul Niguez ($7.6m)
