Fantasy Premier League | GW24 (Free Hit)

First and foremost, our deepest condolences to Cardiff bound Argentine Emiliano Sala who at time of writing still remain missing. Our thoughts are with everyone of his friends, family and fans. Nothing is more tragic than a loss of a young life.

GW24 is the last GW before the end of the transfer window so it will be optimal time to play a free hit, saving the wildcard for next week after all the transfers have been set. The key to using an effective Free Hit is to literally ignore your bench – saving all the cash for your first XI of players who are confirmed starters. We recommend just a single insurance policy on the bench.

DEADLINE for GW24 is Tuesday night / evening.

Formation: 3-4-3

|GK| David de Gea (MNU, 5.7) – United and Solskjaer are gunning for their ninth win in a row and we reckon they can do it against a Burnley side who were thumped at neighbours City in the FA Cup.

|DF| Joel Matip (LIV, 4.9) – There is an injury crisis at Liverpool and Matip is a cheap and safe option.

|DF| Matt Doherty (WOL, 5.2) – Doherty’s last contribution to a Wolves goal was an assist 4 GWs ago but he will be an asset going forward against West Ham.

|DF| Yan Valery (SOU, 4.0) – Valery has started every game as a right wing back under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl and is a great bargain at this price at home against Palace.

|MF| Paul Pogba (MNU, 8.7) – In FPL terms, Pogba has managed an average of 10.3 FPL pts under OGS, compared to 3 under Jose Mourinho. Take a minute to let that sink in.

|MF| Mo Salah (LIV, 13.6) <<CAPTAIN>> – No squad is complete without Mo Salah these days.

|MF| Lucas Moura (TOT, 6.8) – Somewhat of a risk but with a depleted midfield, Moura look set to start at home against Watford.

|MF| Leroy Sane (MCI, 9.7) – Sane has 8 goals and 11 assists to his name and more affordable than Raheem Sterling.

|FW| Aleksandar Mitrovic (FUL, 6.5) – Fulham’s survival hopes are fast fading but they will focus on this home game against Brighton and Mitrovic is always their outlet upfront.

|FW| Marcus Rashford (MNU, 7.7) – 5 goals and 2 assists under OGS regime.

|FW| PE Aubameyang (ARS, 11.3) <<VICE-CAPTAIN>> – The Gabonese has not scored or assisted for 2 GWs but is likely to increase his PL goals tally against Cardiff.

|SUB – GK| Julian Speroni (CRY, 3.9) – Space filler

|SUB1| – Jan Bednarek (SOU, 3.9) – Insurance policy in case any player in any position does not play.

|SUB2| – Juninho Bacuna (HUD, 4.2)  – Space filler

|SUB3| – Ezequiel Schelotto (HUD, 3.8) – Space filler
