We are heading into the festive period and the fixtures are piling up again, so as usual, the chances of rotation is going to be very high between gameweeks 18 to 21 with 4 games coming up in the next 16 days or so.
If you still have a wild card available, this would be a good time to use it before it expires and the intention is to get a fully fit and playing squad of 15 players that will allow for some rotation by the managers where your substitutes can then come into good use.
The other point to note this game week is that there is an early Friday night game so please remember to change your squad a day ahead! With that in mind, we give you a list of players that will be suitable for these festive Christmas run of 4 games!
Kepa (CHE | 5.6m) – 4 London based games against mid table teams in the upcoming 2 weeks (playing away at Watford and Palace along with 2 home games against Southampton and Leicester) makes his a very attractive choice.
Lukasz Fabianski (WHU | 4.6m) – A cheaper option for the fast improving Hammers who also doesn’t play against the top 6 in this festive period.
David Luiz (CHE | 5.7m) – still the cheapest of the Chelsea’s back four and has a good chance for a few clean sheets this period.
Virgil Van Dijk (LIV | 6.2m) – Challenging away game against the title holders in Gameweek 21 along with a home game against the Gunners in Gameweek 20, but hard to see Van Dijk being rested by Klopp and Pool has had an impressive defensive record this season.
Lewis Dunk (BHA | 4.5m) – Regular starter for Brighton and is good value for his price. Brighton has tough games against Arsenal and Everton but doesn’t play the top 4 during this period.
Matt Doherty (WOL | 5.1m) – 2 challenging games against Liverpool and Spurs but Wolves have now won 3 consecutive games and he’s good value at that price with his ability to score. Has started every game this season so far.
Lucas Digne (EVE | 5.0m) – One of the standouts this season for the Toffees with his crossing. Everton only has 1 away game against Spurs and faces mid table teams for the remaining games and will fancy their chances to push up the table.
Bernardo Silva (MCI | 7.5m) – The champions are in unstoppable form and despite the likelihood of Pep Guardiola to rotate his squad, it’s unthinkable to not even take a Man City midfielder this festive period given their round of fixtures. Silva gets our pick as he’s probably the most value-for-money amongst the wealth of midfielders Guardiola has at his disposal.
Eden Hazard (CHE | 11.0m) – Finally getting back to full fitness and form, he has a slight ankle injury but should still feature quite regularly for the Blues this festive period.
Felipe Anderson (WHU | 7.4m) – West Ham have winnable fixtures until GW21 and Anderson is their top scoring fantasy midfielder, so will be a safe choice this festive period.
Lucas Torreira (ARS | 5.1m) – Apart from an away game against Liverpool, the Gunners have a favourable fixtures list this festive season and surprisingly, the Uruguayan is their top scoring fantasy midfielder and is a bargain at that price.
Ryan Fraser (BOU | 6.3m) – Only 1 win in 5 for the Cherries, but he’s been an ever present for them this season and is still the 5th highest scoring fantasy midfielder.
Harry Kane (TOT | 12.6m) – Captain Kane seldom gets rested and with the favourable fixtures that Spurs has this festive period (not playing against top 6), he’s likely to also be everyone’s top pick.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ARS | 11.5m) – Currently the league’s top-scorer and with the fixtures that the Gunners have this period, it will be folly to ignore him.
Chicharito (WHU | 6.4m) – With Arnautovic injured, he’s been getting more game time and has rewarded Pellegrini with 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 4 games.
