Fantasy Premier League | Game Week 15

GW15 is the first mid-week Premier League fixtures of the season so this week we look at something different as well. There are many ways to play #FPL and this week, we are inspired by the “bus. The theory is simple – instead of aiming for goals, we have set up a team to aim to collect clean sheets. For a forward, a goal is worth 4pts, the same as a clean sheet to a GK / Defender. Along this line of thinking, we have formed a team heavy on defenders whom are likely to rake up the points with clean sheets.

You will be surprised of the amount of talent we can still pack. (We will be playing 5-4-1)

<GK> Edersen (MCI | 5.8) – City already has 8 clean sheets and the way they are playing, they look to more likely than not to keep clean sheets, especially at home. Over the course of this season, we fancy him over Liverpool’s Allisson, although it may be tight.

<DF> Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV | 5.3) – TAA is amazing value at 5.3 – he takes corners and some free-kicks for his team as well. He only has a goal and 2 assists to his name thus far and we reckon he will chalk up more over the next few games.

<DF> Aymeric Laporte (MCI | 6.1) – With injuries and rotation looming, Laporte looks like the most consistent starter for City.

<DF> Antonio Rudiger (CHE | 6.0) – Sarri does not like to rotate his back four so Rudiger offers good value to hold for a long time. Luiz offers slightly more value at 5.6 but we prefer the German for his consistency.

<DF> Matt Doherty (WOL | 4.9) – Wolves will not have as many clean sheets as the big boys but we cannot ignore a reasonably priced defender like Doherty who already has 2 goals and 2 assists to his name.

<DF> Michael Keane (EVE | 5.0) – Everton are a very well-drilled side under Marco Silva and more importantly they are an improving side. Best to pick Keane up early before his price goes up.

<MF> Raheem Sterling (MCI | 11.5) – It is now impossible to ignore the current FPL top points scorer. Of the 12 games Sterling has started, there has only been twice in which he has scored the base 2 pts.

<MF> Mo Salah (LIV | 13.0) – Fair to say Salah is probably at the level he was last term but his 7 goals and 4 assists still represent a fantastic haul.

<MF> James Maddison (LEI | 6.8) – Maddison is one of the break-out players of the season and looks to play a pivotal role in his side as the Foxes slowly ease off their reliance on Jamie Vardy.

<MF> Richarlison (EVE | 7.0) – Richarlison’s form will continue to improve and his work rate means that he is a sure starter for the Toffees.

<FW> Callum Wilson (BOU | 6.8) – We are going cheap in the forward space and Wilson is amazing value at 6.8.

<GK> Wayne Hennessy (CRY | 4.5) – To be honest there is no practical reason not to field Edersen every game but as an insurance policy, Hennessy represents the best value.

<FW> Aleksandar Mitrovic (FUL | 6.6) – Mitrovic represents everything good Fulham has to offer going forward and you can rotate between him and Wilson depending on opponents.

<MF> Ryan Fraser (BOU | 6.2) – Fraser has started every game for the Cherries thus far and has amassed 74pts – the fifth highest for a midfielder so far.

<MF> Aboubakar Kamara (FUL | 4.3) – Literally a space filler.

Team Value = 99.8m
